初中英語不可數(shù)名詞
Some nouns in English are uncountable nouns.
英語中有些單詞是不可數(shù)名詞。
We do not use uncountable nouns in the plural and we do not use them with the indefinite article, a/an.
不可數(shù)名詞沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式，我們也不用不定冠詞a/an修飾他們。
We ate a lot of foods >We ate a lot of food
We bought some new furnitures >We bought some new furniture.

We can use some quantifiers with uncountable nouns:
我們可以用某些量詞修飾不可數(shù)名詞：
He gave me some useful advice.
They gave us a lot of information.
Uncountable nouns often refer to:

Substances: food; water; wine; salt; bread; iron
Human feelings or qualities: anger; cruelty; happiness; honesty; pride;

Common uncountable nouns
不可數(shù)名詞的用法特征
(1)不帶冠詞的單數(shù)形式需用動詞單數(shù)作謂語。例如：
Knowledge is power.知識就是力量。
(2)由much，little等詞修飾。例如：
They have saved much money for future use.他們存了很多錢以備未來使用。
(3)與表示單位的量詞如a piece of等連用。例如：
Go and fetch me a piece of chalk.給我去拿一支粉筆。
要十分注意的是：不可數(shù)名詞不能與不定冠詞或數(shù)詞直接用在一起。如不能說a good news, an advice, a hard work等。
不可數(shù)名詞用法
a) 不可數(shù)名詞前一般不加冠詞，尤不加不定冠詞：若加a(an)則使之具體化了。 如：have a wonderful time.
b) 不可數(shù)名詞作主語，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數(shù)形式。
c) 不可數(shù)名詞一般無復(fù)數(shù)形式。部分物質(zhì)名詞在表不同類別時，可用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如：fishes(各種各樣的魚)， newspapers(各種報紙)， waters(河湖、海水)， snows(積雪)……
d) 有些抽象名詞也常用復(fù)數(shù)，變?yōu)榭蓴?shù)的具體的事物。如：times 時代，works 著作，difficulties 困難
e) 在表數(shù)量時，常用“of”詞組來表示。如：a glass of milk， a cup of tea， two pieces of paper…。
