I: Are you the youngest girl in the family?
C: No, I'm second to the youngest.
I: Are you married?
C: Yes, I am.(No, I'm not married (unmarried). I am still single.)
I: How long have you been married?
C: I have been married for six years.
I: When did you get married?
C: I got married in 1988.
I: Do you have any children?
C: Yes, I have a daughter. She is four years old.(No. We got married not long ago.)
I: What is your wife?
C: She is a teacher at a high school.
I: Please say something about your family.
C: There are five people in my family; my grandfather, my parents, my elder brother, and myself. My father runs a hardware store. My mother is a saleswoman. My brother is a
journalist. He is still a happy single man like me. We live a happy life together.
I: Would you tell me something about your family?
C: With pleasure. My family is not big. We are four altogether
my mother, my wife, my son, and 1. My father is dead.
My mother is fifty-seven years old. She is a retired worker.
My wife is an accountant. My son is only over two. He is
looked after by my mother. He is the apple of our eye.
I: Do you spend much time staying with your family?
C: Oh, yes. People say there is a generation gap in the world today, but I don't, think there is one in my family. We all work at taking time to talk with each other. Especially at mealtimes, we all get together to eat and talk. Meals are very lively at our house. I often watch TV together with my family in the evenings. During the weekends or holidays) we sometimes go to parks, cinemas, and concerts together.
I: Your application form says that you have a younger brother. How do you get along with him?
C: We get along very well. He is preparing for college entrance exams right now, so he asks me for advice a lot on how he should study and things like that. We often go swimming and mountain climbing together.
