托??谡Z(yǔ)Task4答題要點(diǎn) 口語(yǔ)高分要做到這些!
很多同學(xué)答完托??谡Z(yǔ),總是覺得自己deserve a high grade, but reality tends to always seep in, in the end.(覺得自己成績(jī)應(yīng)該老牛X了,但現(xiàn)實(shí)卻是……)
那么,托??谡Z(yǔ)高分的關(guān)鍵是什么呢?今天就跟大家聊一聊托??谡Z(yǔ)第四題lecture的解題技巧。
1 掌握聽力內(nèi)容的“暗線”
首先,口語(yǔ)答題good和fair的區(qū)別是什么呢?讓我們先來(lái)看一段話:
The question will ask youto explain the main concept or issue using the points and examplesthat were given in the lecture. So basically it's a very straight forward summary.
這是ETS官方視頻中對(duì)Task 4所提出的要求,注意劃線部分內(nèi)容:你必須解釋清楚main concept或者issue。這就是高分關(guān)鍵!!!
口說(shuō)無(wú)憑。咱們來(lái)舉個(gè)例子~
看題:禽類吃泥土的原因:輔助消化和排除毒素
1 輔助消化,以渡鴉舉例,沒(méi)有牙齒,吃泥土是為了磨碎食物,這樣有助于消化較大的食物,比方說(shuō)把很大的種子磨成小碎片。
2 排除毒素,以鸚鵡舉例,吃泥土可以中和誤食的毒素,這樣就不會(huì)生病了。
這道題是要求大家用example來(lái)論證“泥土在幫助鳥類消化這件事上起到了什么作用?具體過(guò)程是什么?”
很多同學(xué)在回答第四題的時(shí)候,只是在單純地summarize the lecture(總結(jié)講座),而忽略了題目中隱藏的“暗線”,也就是高分要求中的points和examples。
Fair級(jí)別的答案:For instance, a species of bird takes in soil sometimes. Because it's toothless, eating soil can help it with its digestion. 在這個(gè)答案中并沒(méi)有體現(xiàn)出soil起到的具體作用,因此只能得fair。
再看Good級(jí)別的答題:Wild pheasant is a good example. It is toothless, so it has to take in soil sometimes to help it grind up giant seeds with hard shells into smaller pieces, to make it easier to digest. 這個(gè)答案中包含了3點(diǎn)重要信息,toothless, giant seeds with hard shells and grind up into smaller pieces,從而充分論證了soil在消化過(guò)程中起到的具體作用。
2 善于改述內(nèi)容
paraphrasing(改寫)是托福綜合口語(yǔ)中必須掌握的一項(xiàng)能力??谡Z(yǔ)第三題和第四題聽力部分內(nèi)容都在一分半至兩分鐘左右,字?jǐn)?shù)大約在200字,多則能到250字。而我們1分鐘能有效輸出的內(nèi)容只有120-140字。
換句話講,答題的時(shí)候必須刪減一半的聽力內(nèi)容。怎么做?
請(qǐng)大家銘記一件事:大多數(shù)Task 4中都有近1/3的內(nèi)容是廢話,必須聽懂,但不必闡述。見下面這段文字:
Today, we're going to discuss forest fires. Generally, when a forest fire occurs, the animals in the area will of course scurry away from the fire. Some animals, though, actually benefit from forest fires and so will follow them because forest fires can help them meet their survival needs. Let's discuss twobenefitsforest fires could have for these animals.
One benefit is that they can make it easier for predators to find food.A forest fire will force animals out of their hiding places, which predators make use of because fleeing animals are much easier to catch than they normally are when they are hiding deeply.
For example, scientists have observed skunks doing this. These animals will go to the edge of a forest fire and wait there in order to catch all the insects running out of the burning forest, which is a much easier way to catch insects than the normal way of pecking for them on the ground.
Another benefit forest fires could have is to help provide a good place for the development of young animals.Forest fires can make an otherwise harmful environment more suitable for their development.
For example, Burch trees in the forest are poisonous to ants. They have a special chemical that keeps ants away. But after a fire, ants will seek out these trees because the trees are dead and ants are able to lay their eggs in the trees without being hurt by the chemical. The young ants use the trees' nourishment until they mature into adult ants.
其中標(biāo)注顏色的是重點(diǎn),其他都是廢話,聽懂即可。考試時(shí)將有顏色的部分記下來(lái),并將重點(diǎn)信息進(jìn)行改述,壓縮到相應(yīng)的時(shí)間里面。
再次強(qiáng)調(diào),闡述example的時(shí)候,一定要想著to example the main concept or the issue。
3 做好答題的時(shí)間管理
很多同學(xué)在回答第四題的時(shí)候總覺得時(shí)間不夠用,那是因?yàn)槟愕闹攸c(diǎn)信息把握不準(zhǔn)確,對(duì)答題時(shí)間控制沒(méi)有概念。
Task 4的前25%多為文章主旨(main concept or issue),目標(biāo)24分的同學(xué)無(wú)需對(duì)此部分做筆記,目標(biāo)26分的同學(xué)需要做筆記。
在聽力過(guò)程中,注意是否聽到了名詞復(fù)數(shù)形式,成對(duì)的詞或短語(yǔ),或者序數(shù)詞如first等,并以此推測(cè)后文結(jié)構(gòu)。
最終答題時(shí),介紹這部分的時(shí)間為10秒。
聽力介紹完主旨一般會(huì)具體說(shuō)主旨中的概念點(diǎn)(如上題中的輔助消化和排除毒素),并配有詳細(xì)解釋和案例(如上題中的渡鴉和鸚鵡)。
每個(gè)概念介紹5秒,然后運(yùn)用口語(yǔ)答題技巧20秒介紹對(duì)應(yīng)的例子。

大家平時(shí)在練習(xí)托??谡Z(yǔ)時(shí)不知是否關(guān)注過(guò)托福口語(yǔ)的一些標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求,了解好這些要求對(duì)我們的學(xué)習(xí)可是有很大的好處的,今天我們針對(duì)托??谡Z(yǔ)考試的七大標(biāo)準(zhǔn)進(jìn)行講解。
1中心是否切題:
解釋:考察托??忌磉_(dá)的口語(yǔ)內(nèi)容是否完整、準(zhǔn)確地回答了題目的要求。考察重點(diǎn)在于考生是否能夠準(zhǔn)確理解題意和準(zhǔn)確迎合題意兩個(gè)層次。
2意思是否明白:
解釋:考察托福考生所表達(dá)的口語(yǔ)內(nèi)容是否能夠被明白地理解,還是表面上很流利,而實(shí)際上語(yǔ)義含糊、不知所云。
3結(jié)構(gòu)是否嚴(yán)密:
解釋:考察托??忌欠裼心芰⒖谡Z(yǔ)用嚴(yán)密的結(jié)構(gòu)和邏輯表達(dá)出來(lái),還是缺乏層次,信馬由韁。
4表達(dá)是否連貫:
解釋:考察托??忌谡Z(yǔ)的語(yǔ)流是否有停頓,這包括思維停頓和表達(dá)停頓兩方面的原因或表現(xiàn)。但此標(biāo)準(zhǔn)并未對(duì)考生的口語(yǔ)表達(dá)速度作硬性的要求。
5發(fā)音是否清楚:
解釋:考察托??忌陌l(fā)音是否能夠做到純正、清晰。起碼理解起來(lái)并不因?yàn)榭谝舻膯?wèn)題存在障礙。
6 語(yǔ)法是否正確:
解釋:考察托??忌欠衲軌蚴炀毜氖褂幂^復(fù)雜的句子結(jié)構(gòu)表達(dá)思想,同時(shí)盡量避免錯(cuò)誤。環(huán)球英語(yǔ)網(wǎng)校。
7詞匯是否熟練:
解釋:考察托??忌欠窨梢哉莆兆銐虻挠⒄Z(yǔ)詞匯進(jìn)行表達(dá),考察重點(diǎn)在熟練度和準(zhǔn)確度兩個(gè)方面。但此標(biāo)準(zhǔn)并未對(duì)考生的用詞難度作硬性的要求。
結(jié)合上面的要求,托福口語(yǔ)考試大致從三個(gè)方面考察考生。一、邏輯性;二、語(yǔ)言表述;三、語(yǔ)言能力。上述七個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)里的1、2、3大至可劃分為第一類,即要考察學(xué)生的思維邏輯性。這就首先要求學(xué)生在較短的準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間里迅速審清題目要求,然后在頭腦中形成一個(gè)清晰的綱要。這樣可以使自己的敘述內(nèi)容清晰而有條理。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)4主要考察學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言表達(dá)能力,比如連貫性、清晰度和信息量等。評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)里并沒(méi)有對(duì)語(yǔ)速有硬性要求。但建議考生語(yǔ)速保持在中速的水平上,因?yàn)檫^(guò)慢會(huì)使得信息量小,讓考官懷疑你的語(yǔ)言能力,而過(guò)快又會(huì)容易出錯(cuò),不易讓自己有思考的時(shí)間。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)5、6、7是對(duì)語(yǔ)言能力的考察。這就要求考生平時(shí)注重自己語(yǔ)言基本功的訓(xùn)練。跟讀模仿可以糾正自己的發(fā)音,背誦可以增加詞匯量,句式結(jié)構(gòu)和地道的英語(yǔ)表述方法。

題目
You are the members of two clubs in your school, but you have to quit one because this semester you have a lot of schoolwork to do. Which one do you prefer to quit? And why?
1)hiking club
2)speech and debate club
Sample Response
If I were too busy to participate in both the hiking and speech club, I would quit the hiking club.
Although hiking is fun to do with friends, I can do it on my own whenever I have time. By contrast, it is impossible to get feedback about a speech or participate in a debate by myself.
Plus, I want to focus on things that will help me get a good job. Speech and debate are important work skills, so I think it is better to practice those now and do hiking later when I have more time.
Because speech and debate are hard to do on my own but are important for getting a good job, I would keep attending that club.
